Personal Day number in numerology: how to calculate it and what it means
A Personal Day shows the tone of one particular day for one particular person. It is worked out from your date of birth and today's date.
Personal Days run in a cycle from 1 to 9. Each has its own theme: from the first move on day 1 to completion on day 9.
The calculation step by step
A Personal Day takes three steps. First, the Personal Year: add your birth month, your birth day and the current year, reducing each to a single digit, then reduce the total to a single digit.
Next, the Personal Month: add the number of the current month to the Personal Year and reduce again. Finally, the Personal Day: add today's calendar date to the Personal Month and reduce to a single digit.
Example: Personal Month 5 and the 12th give 17, and 1 + 7 = 8. That is a Personal Day 8. The next day is a 9, then a 1 again.
What Personal Days 1 to 9 mean
- Personal Day 1. A new start. A day for the first move. What you start today will carry you through the coming days.
- Personal Day 2. Cooperation. A day for two. Agreement achieves more than pressure today, and patience wins.
- Personal Day 3. Expression. A day of words and lightness. What you say carries further than usual today, so talk about what matters.
- Personal Day 4. Order. A day of work and foundations. Today rewards finishing, not inventing.
- Personal Day 5. Change. A day of movement. Plans shift today, so look for the good in what you did not expect.
- Personal Day 6. Care. A day for home and for whoever is close to you. What matters most today is close at hand, not far afield.
- Personal Day 7. Stillness. A day for yourself and your thoughts. Today understanding matters more than action, and quiet is more useful than talk.
- Personal Day 8. Results. A day for business and money. Firmness pays today: name your terms and see things through to the end.
- Personal Day 9. Completion. A day of endings. Today it is easier to let go than to hold on, and letting go makes room.
Questions
Is the Personal Day the same for everyone?
No. It is worked out from your date of birth, so on the same calendar day different people have different Personal Days. The number shared by everyone is called the Universal Day, which is a different number.
How is a Personal Day different from a Personal Year?
A Personal Year sets the theme for twelve months, a Personal Month for one month, and a Personal Day describes the tone of a single day. The shorter the period, the more practical the advice: what to do today and what to leave.
Can I get my Personal Day every day?
Yes. A MyNum subscription sends a letter about your day in the morning, or the evening before. The first 5 days are free, with no card.
